October was an exciting month. It was a pleasure, as always, to catch up with the tango-loving CLIVE JAMES who visited our Rose Bay Milonga for a social dance. It was a rare opportunity to see PABLO VERON and NOEL STRAZZA perform in Sydney. We were blessed by the visit of Sicilian honey-mooners DANIELE TROVATO and OLGA GRECO of the Muy Lindo Tango school who performed at our fundraiser Milonga Para Los Niños.

In November PATIO de TANGO celebrates it’s THIRD BIRTHDAY !  These past few years have been exciting and fulfilling with the growth of our little family, our tango school & Milongas, and the Sydney tango scene in general.

There are some exciting tango (and related) shows and events happening in the next few months. We’ve just confirmed that in November OSVALDO ZOTTO and LORENA ERMOCIDA will be performing with Julio Iglesias in Sydney! And you could win some free tickets to see "Almost Tango" (Aust. Ballet) and the Cambalache Concert & Tango show. Read on for more details. . .

The show opened with the amazing GLEN WOOD TAPPERS - an ensemble of five teenage tap dancers trained by the Sydney’s leading tap teacher / performer Glen Wood. They danced a tango inspired piece followed by a more traditional piece - both gorgeous to watch.

Following on were the popular tango couple from Brisbane (and Charity initiators) - JOHN & CHERYL LOWRY and the dynamic couple (honeymooning from Sicily) - DANIELE TROVATO and OLGA GRECO of the MUY LINDO TANGO School in Catania. Both couples, with their very different styles, put on a fabulous show.
