Yes! Tango is such an inclusive dance. That’s one of the things we love about it. People of all backgrounds and ages (including our twins!) are falling in love with Tango. We warmly invite anyone who has the desire to tango to our Milongas (Tango dance nights) in Rose Bay and Botany. IF YOU'RE NEW TO TANGO you can take a FREE lesson, watch some great dancing, meet new people and enjoy the intoxicating music and atmosphere of a Milonga. IF YOU'RE AN AFICIONADO, our Tango DJ is devoted to keeping you on the dance floor with his eclectic and spontaneous music mix. The cover charge of $15 includes complimentary tea and coffee, cakes and a FREE Argentine Tango lesson from 7:30pm - 8:30pm. Bookings for the lesson are essential. Our Tuesday Milonga on 15 June was a particularly
special night with an unexpected visit and performance by three amazing
musicians - Nadia Fried (piano), Eddie Bronson (accordion and clarinet)
and Svetlana Bunic
Eddie and Svetlana perform with the acclaimed gypsy band "Monsieur Camembert". Our Tango friend Nadia is an accomplished pianist and regular dancer at Rose Bay. The talented trio thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will be back for more Tuesdays when they’re able to play… so they could turn up on any Tuesday. Next Tango Courses . . . This Brazilian born teacher, dancer, choreographer, performer, composer and big band leader has danced his way into our hearts. He's a maestro and a legend! Jose had to cancel a Tango piano concert at our May Milonga when he underwent surgery for cancer. His courageous mind, strength and passion for life has made him more determined than ever to make a speedy recovery and return to his music and dance.
